“If you leave a door half open, soon you’ll hear the whispers spoken. If you play outside alone, soon you won’t be going home. If your window’s left unlatched, you’ll hear him tapping at the glass. If you’re lonely, sad, and blue, the Whisper Man will come for you.”

The Whisper Man is a chilling thriller following a multigenerational family involved in a serial killer legend. After the death of his wife, Tom Kennedy and his son Jake move to a new home hoping to start fresh. Soon after they arrive, weird happenings begin to occur that starts gossip of a 20 yr old killer, The Whisper Man. Detectives Pete and Amanda must revisit the past to determine what's going on now...

If you have ever watched Criminal Minds, this is the book for you. I loved the multiple perspectives of the detectives, Tom and Jake. I also enjoyed behind the scenes with the serial killer, The Whisper Man. This book has a little bit of everything - murder, paranormal, terror, detective work and even love.

I found this book to be mostly predictable - hence a 4 star instead of a 5. Although I had an idea of what was coming, I don't think the goal of this book was a shocking twist anyways. I thought this book was just a really well-told thriller. I was intrigued the entire time and enjoyed the unique paranormal flair that turned out to be less paranormal in the end.
