Creepy but good

For the record, I do NOT like books that could be real life/involve violence to or disappearance of children/that are too creepily realistic. I have a vivid imagination, so I tend to take these books to heart. (Which is why I will choose to not buy this book, on your follow up question, but don't take my opinion seriously. I'm a highly sensitive person.)

But this is good. The author quickly captures the reader and draws the reader in. I don't want to read this book due to the sensitive nature, but I DO want to find out what happens. I see this book all over Bookstagram and it is quite the popular pick. Perhaps I can ask a non-highly-sensitive-friend what eventually happens?! But I am glad to get a sneak peek of this book. I can affirmatively say I like the writing, but I don't like the subject matter.
