UK writers just dominate the thriller genre in the recent years!!! A mind blowing debut for Alex North with a thriller that is creepy, without being gory (proof that this isn't always necessary), addictive, deep, presenting various aspect of grief, family, recovering from trauma, flirting with paranormal (just flirting don't deny this book a chance because of it if you don't like that) and it delivers all those with a great writing, amazing sense of rhythm and strong very attachable characters. A stunning start for 2020 for me and a must read if you like thriller!! Can't wait to read future novel by this author, I know he will have one out in 2020 so this will be on my look for it tbr for sure!
