I picked this up shortly after finishing The Kiss Quotient and this book suffered in comparison. Alexa and Drew are both smart and successful but I didn’t find them as compelling. I also felt like there needed to be more development of the relationship before Drew quit his job to move to be with Alexa. It didn’t help that Drew spends the whole novel planning to dump Alexa before they get too close and Alexa spends the book telling herself not to get attached to Drew. And then they fall in love. Seriously, I spent the middle of the book half hoping that Alexa would dump Drew for his best friend. When Drew does finally shape up (after they break up) it’s all too fast. I think I just wanted more from this.
