This book was one of the best ones I have read in awhile. The cast of characters were fun and the plot was unique. We have diverse characters, some of them being Alexa who is a Black woman and Carlos who is Hispanic man.
Alexa was one of the best characters in my opinion we got to hear about things I never thought of before. One of them being arts for at risk youth, I loved reading her passion and drive. We hear Alexa’s thoughts about her body shape and size, making me relate to her and insecurities. I loved getting to know her friends and her sister, we got to really know her world.
Drew was harder to like. I felt like he had to truly prove himself and once he did, I was head over heels in love with him too. He is caring and the connection he makes with patients that he works with is so admirable. I loved getting to know his best friend Carlos, he keeps Drew grounded and I love how he bonded with Alexa.
We got to see both views of the story, Alexa and Drew’s which helped make the story even more enjoyable. I really loved this book so much.
