Yes, could some of the events happen in real life, for sure. This book was over the top though in a cute way but everything was sex and over used cliches.
It was nice seeing a mostly confident "curvy" well educated woman as the lead. I do not think her race added a ton to the story so I am still not sure how I feel about it being called out so much. Outside of that though it was still nice seeing an interracial couple.
This book was cute, take it for a steamy meet-cute and you will not be disappointed. Outside of that though I would suggest keep looking.
