I love a book where the characters fake date. There is something about it that really draws me in. This is the story of Alexa and Drew who get stuck in a elevator one night. Drew is a groomsman at a wedding and is need of a date, so what better idea than the ask the woman your stuck in an elevator with. Even though you just met her i'm sure nothing could go wrong...right? Well you're just gonna have to read the book to find out what kind of trouble these two get themselves in.
This is story of interracial couple and it's good to see Alexa (African American) give Drew (Caucasian) a lesson on just how much privilege he is. There a lot of things that Drew can get away with that he never realized that he could. Alexa on the other hand has to fight every single step of the way. It's good to see her putting him in his place and opening his eyes to some of the injustices she has to go through on the daily.
