I cannot believe I'm giving 3 stars to this one and 5 stars to the Wedding Party.

I've read the Third book in the instalment first , and then picked this up.

The wedding date consists of my fave tropes
- fake date
- Oh no I might be falling for you
- I don't wanna fall for you
- We did it anyway.

Alexa Monroe , the female lead is a career driven woman with a law degree working in the Mayor's office with her close to heart pet project. When she goes to meet up with her sister for celebrating her success , the elevator gets stuck and she's with this hot cute white guy who asks her to be his fake date for his ex girlfriend and best friend wedding.

The plot wasn't much interesting like the beginning. The beginning was wild and awesome which made the upcoming parts comparitively boring.

Drew , oh my God. Drew was the cliche douche bag MC falling for the girl he spontaneously met.

Drew wanted to stab himself in the head with a fork

His characterisation was interesting as a Doctor in Pediatrics which gave him atleast a few more layers than just a trust issued MC.

The pacing was amazing and the sex scenes were neither cringe worthy nor PG - 13. It was the right amount of Jasmine Guillory.

The supportive friends , and unexpected surprises with the bitchy blonds made this book too much of a romcom?!

And the hot white dude ending up with the first black girl he dated and all the blondes being jealous is.... I'm still finding the right word to describe it. Well , let's say it was too much Young adultish . And Alexa being nice to all of them and describing them basically scaring her as "they were all nice?!!" Like what the hell?? Where's the bitchy salty Alexa in the beginning of the book???

Overall , a nice short read with great representations . Perfect for romance fans and who ever wants to step into Adult Romance.
