Alexa meet Drew in an elevator, where they are conveniently stuck together. While waiting for maintenance to come and fix the elevator they get to talking and really enjoy each others company.
Drew mentions to Alexa that he has a wedding to attend, specifically his ex-gilrfriends wedding. He mentiones he needs a date for this wedding since his current date had to cancel at the last minute.
When Alexa and Drew part from the elevator he decides he can't wait to see Alexa again and asks her to be his date to the wedding and she agrees!
I really liked the "meet cute" between Alexa and Drew - especially being locked in an elevator together. But beyond that I wasn't really feeling the chemistry. I'm not really one for an insta-love type of story and I definitely got vibes of that from reading the first few chapters.
I don't think that this would be a book that I would particularly want to read any further.
