I absolutely fell in love with this book! So much that I accidentally stayed up until 5 am reading it lol! I personally felt like I could relate to Alexa on so many levels, it was amazing to really see myself in a book. For example, one aspect that really resonated with me was the passion that Alexa felt towards helping at-risk teens with her arts program. In the future, I will be a teacher, so it was amazing to see someone who was passionate about helping children represented in a book. I also loved Alexa and Drew’s connection throughout the whole book. There was always something there between them, and even thought it wasn’t always easy, because life never is, they still had that undeniable connection, which made them last and which made me love them and root for them. I also loved the open and honest conversations about race in the book, YES!
