This was a humorous, fun, and emotional story. It had me teary and laughing, and the whole story got deeper than I expected which was a pleasant surprise. The characters were full of flaws but that only make them more realistic and love able. The book opens with a tried and true trope - two strangers are thrown together and agree to do the fake dating thing to protect the guy, Drew, from a hellish weekend of the wedding between his ex-girlfriend and his best friend. Alexa never does anything impulsive like this but she can’t help liking Drew despite his aversion to relationships. Rarely have there been characters that communicate less efficiently than Drew and Alexa so chaos and hilarity ensue.
