After Alexa finds herself suck on a hotel elevator during a power outage with a random guy, she ends up agreeing to be his date to his exes' date that weekend. Although it begins as something fake, by the end of the weekend, both of them will be struggling to admit to themselves and each other that there might be real feelings there.

What ensues is a long-distance relationship with all of the ups and downs you might expect. This book was cute and fun, an endearing romance that had you rooting for your characters. At times, the schtick wore a little thin with how much these two un-emotional career types refused to talk about their feelings. I also go annoyed with how crappy of a friend Drew was to Carlos.

Overall a fun, lighthearted contemporary romance novel.
