When I read the back cover of this book I was certain the plot line has been over-done, in books & movies- pretend girlfriend/boyfriend turns into true love etc so I was pleasantly surprised to have enjoyed Alexa's character. Not afraid to enjoy food, have curves, be sexy & sassy. I liked that the romance wasn't the only storyline, Drew & Alexa's characters are well rounded and successful, in their own professional lives and past relationships. 4☆

The Wedding Date was one of my first open-door romances and has paved the way for many more this year. They are delightful, fun reads between books with heavier topics and the perfect amount of humor make for quick engaging time spend between the pages. I've enjoyed each of Jasmine's titles so far and eagerly await the next one I'm starting to see promoted. I like that they can be read apart but the updates on previous characters can be found in recent titles due to the story line sharing the book-world.
