This was my first time reading a Jasmine Guillory book and I was absolutely blown away. So much so that I began to collect all of her other works as well (and I've loved every single one of them). I am a sucker for a fake dating trope and Guillory nailed this one. I loved Alexa and Drew, even when I didn't want to. This was my first New Adult read as well which I think is part of the reason why I loved it so much. There was the right amount of fluff and spice. The spicy scenes were written well and the fluff was so cute it left me blushing at the pages.
The plot progressed well (by that I mean it progressed in a timely manner and didn't drag on for most of it then rush to close the story at the end) and the flow of the story was perfect. I read this book in one sitting and was so sad when it was over. I wanted more Alexa and Drew! Their chemistry was palpable and came naturally. I adored their banter.
I love to read romance books as much as I can, especially in between really heavy, dark or intense reads. This was the perfect book for that and a definite re-read for me in the future. When I finished, all I could think about was how much I wished I could erase it from my memory and read it again for the first time.
