So different
The summary of the book automatically got me interested and I was super excited to have won it in the Bookishfirst raffle.
There aren't a lot of books out there about cults, specifically in the YA genre so it was a very interesting read. The book had a good message about finding your voice, even when others try to silence it. I think a lot of different people could relate to it or have sympathy for the characters as they were in young love and were forced apart.
The book shows the reality of these types of communities and the affect it has on children and young people. It's difficult to get out of this situation and I've always found cults, or these types of religious institutions, interesting because of how people just accept their lives and those who fight against the rules are deemed evil.
