A classic forbidden romance set in a fictional setting that seems like it could happen in real life. The setting of the author's new release as well as her characters seemed like they were caricatures representing a role that would help forward the plot. Sort of like what you would see in a "cult" like setting (e.g. in movies, tv shows, etc). And to be honest, I'm not really sure how I feel about all of these or the subject matter. I think this is going to be a book that is going to divide readers depending on age. However, I liked the "feministic" message in this book.
Overall, this book is definitely not for everyone but it's all not that bad. I can imagine some readers actually reading (and enjoying) this story.
