I enjoyed this book, but honestly it was just another cult novel. There was nothing really new or particularly shocking about this book. Miriam was just another brainwashed girl who finally learned to think for herself. Once I knew that Aaron and his "parents" were former "Outsiders", I figured out they were undercover operatives trying to bring down the cult. Caleb's chapters were so sad. He just wanted to be with Miriam, but could not understand what Daniel was doing. I was glad when he finally realized that Miriam needed to be allowed to make her own choices and that he could not force her to be with him. Someone finally needed to realize that women have voices and choices. That was probably the best part of the book.
