Sounds like a really intriguing book, especially as I'm really interested in cults, and the groupthink required to completely unhinge yourself from reality to believe so completely in one person, and the message they're spinning. I completely get it from the YA perspective, they're raised in this reality from birth, so they don't know any different, but the adults! That I don't get. I'm hoping this book delves into the vulnerabilities that this cult leader preyed on in order to lure these adults into this. I'm really interested in the protagonists, Miriam and Caleb, it takes an incredible amount of courage to break free from the messages you've had pounded into you from the moment you were born, from everything you've ever known, to show that kind of resistance. I'm a little turned off by all the biblical stuff, but I'm interested enough to want to keep reading and hope that these kids break free of all of it.
