This is a coming of age story in a dystopian-type religious sect. I predict that it will be a popular teen read. Miriam has grown up in a male dominated society where women have no voice. When she is forced into a marriage with a boy not of her own choosing, she is spurred to rebellion. I will be purchasing this title for my library's collection.
