THE VIRTUE OF SIN seems to have so many elements I've loved in other books ... a strong female character, a coming of age, a love story, and the added bonus of a cult, which I've been wanting to read about! Miriam lives in New Jerusalem, a community in the desert that keeps to themselves. She's lived there for the first 16 years of her life but, now that she's getting older, something doesn't feel right. She still holds out hope for the Matrimony Ceremony because she's sure Caleb, the boy she's in love with will choose her but, instead, she is chosen by someone else. I can't wait to find out what happens next!
