I was captivated by the synopsis and then within the first page I was completely hooked. All the characters seem so real and you find yourself routing for Miriam, for Caleb, for what's right.
It's also very eye opening to see a culture that works in this way, and all the struggles that come with it as there are those that follow it to a T and then those like Mira and Caleb that are left to question things.
I really enjoyed those first chapters enough that I'm looking forward to seeing how this all plays out. Certainly won't be easy yet I hope for Miriam and Caleb that things find a way and work out in the end.
