In The Very Nice Box, the main character designs storage boxes for an IKEA like company. Her entire life is color coded, sorted into nice, little boxes, if you will. Her very orderly life is turned upside down when she meets Mat, another coworker, who is not who he says he is.

The Very Nice Box is a great piece of office satire. The author plays on our corporate culture, and I wonder if the author has received inspiration from some famous shows as the Office or Office Space.

While this book can be silly at times, it is also insightful. The main character really gets some depth added to her, and her orderly life becomes not so orderly towards the end. The main character definitely grows, and this is a funny, silly, fast paced-dare I say-thriller that is a great summer read. If you are looking for a new book that is not your characteristic romance or who done it, you have it here.
