The Very Nice Box is such a fantastic book! While the story deals with grief, loss, stalkers, and other heavy subjects it is also very funny. The main character Ava is so smart and quick-witted, I absolutely loved her. She lives alone with her dog Brutus and works as an engineer at a high-end furniture store similar to Ikea. She has suffered a tragic loss a few years back and it completely changed her life. At her job, this new manager comes in and he is unlike anyone she has met. He is brash and pretty much does what he wants with zero consequences. I am sure many will agree with me when I say he is really loathsome. Anyway, I can't really go into that much further without ruining the plot. The story is so new and fresh with characters that you truly care about. It is at times laugh out loud funny. That inner voice you hear that makes you second guess yourself and think ridiculous things, well Ava has one too. I also really loved how they kept naming everything with its Stada name throughout the book. I think that this book is going to be a huge hit, it really has it all. I can't wait to see what these authors come up with next, they have huge talent.
