I first became interested in The Very Nice Box when I saw it advertised on Goodreads and Instagram. What really grabbed my attention was the comparison to Elinor Oliphant is Completely Fine.
Reading the first two chapters, I can see the comparison with Elinor. Ava Simon seems to be an extremely organized, old-fashioned, simple, and analytical person. She doesn't like socializing and gets annoyed if she has to change her routine. Ava is completely thrown off when her boss announces his retirement and that his replacement is a 26 year old "bro," named Mat Putnam.
I would love to see how the relationship between Ava and Mat develops, especially if it takes Ava out of her comfort zone ( or should I say comfort box?).
