interesting twist on an "opposites attract" type of story

It started out slow and a little choppy, but Ava, the main character, was easy to sympathize with and I quickly got drawn into the story. I liked the not-so-subtle references to our modern tech/startup culture and the superficial ways in which things like "wellness" are addressed. Feels like a rehash of the "opposites attract" trope, but with a modern satire twist. Interesting enough to keep me wanting to read more.
