The cover kind of threw me on this book because I had no idea what to expect from it. Ava is a loner. Her sole desire is to go to work, do her job conscientiously, and return home at the end of the day to her dog Brutus. She has worked at the company for 10 years and still managed to keep to herself except for her one friend Jaime. Then when a meeting is called she learns that her boss is retiring and the new boss is going to be Mat. A man 4 years her junior and who she has no desire to work for. The book left me wondering what will happen next to Ava and Brutus and Mat. I really would love to read this book in order to find out.
