I’ve been working from home for so long I almost forgot what a pseudo-cooperative community an office can strive to be. As someone who shares in Ava Simon’s proclivities for an antisocial, strictly structured existence, this first glimpse made me laugh, cringe, laugh again, and whimper at the very thought of forced office social events. Add in the uncertainty and nagging fear that comes with a dramatic shift in corporate dynamics and I wasn’t sure whether I should be screaming to Ava to “Get Out!” or “Hang in There!”. This was a fun read with some tongue in cheek Ikea adjacent humor that will easily keep you engaged and promises for some suspenseful twists. I definitely will be sticking around to see what that might be.
