I was originally drawn in by the premise of bringing people back from the dead temporarily. I also appreciated that when Tempest brought her sister back she was angry. Her motivation was beyond just missing her sister. Her feelings were complicated as I can only imagine what it would be like to see someone alive when you have been used to them being gone. Equinox was dull until her sister was there again and we as readers got to see how fascinating their floating city really was.
I was honestly loving this book so much but everything seemed rushed at the end. There is a major plot hole and some things just didn't make sense. That's all it took to ruin the story for me. There was also a really weird scene with an old lady and a box. I understood what the author was trying to do but it seemed really unnecessary.
