I was completely wowed by this book. It was different, but a good kind of different, and something that I wasn't expecting to be as good as it was!
The characters were so lovable. I just want to read more in Tempe's perspective. Elysea is all kinds of fun, and I just want more of these two sisters. Lor, the love interest, was absolutely wonderful. I loved being inside his head. I adored everything about these characters, from the bond the sisters shared to the complex relationship Lor had with literally everyone. I couldn't get enough of it.
The world building was spectacular. I could really see the world as I read the book and I loved all the little details, like the difference in food, in day to day life, and the underwater world.
The thing that made me push this down a star was that I wish this was expanded a bit more. It felt like a few of the plot points could have used more development.
