This book hooks you straight from the get go, with main character Tempe on a dive for spare parts much like a waterworld version of Rey from Star Wars. The beginning starts out slow, building to what we know will be the revival of her sister for a day - and it’s dropping enough hints to make me anxious to learn what secrets hide in the depths of the ocean and in the new world that Tempe lives in. Descriptive, intriguing, and a little spooky, I’m hoping for a lot of good ocean drama!
