The Vanishing Deep combines the glitter of Atlantis with the bleakness of Waterworld and the scary mystery of The Island of Dr. Moreau. A risky deep-sea dive leads to a marketable discovery and the chance for Tempest to get answers to her questions about her parents' death. Of course, she has to revive her dead sister first, not impossible now that she has the money for the procedure. But the answers won't be nearly as straightforward as Tempe expects.
