I read "Four Dead Queens" and I didn't really care for it thus, I was hesitant with "The Vanishing Deep". After reading the excerpt, I am definitely ready to read more! It is an interesting premise and I am curious to see where Schlote takes the story. My one complaint is that the cover is not doing the book any favors, in my opinion. The vibes are a strange mystery novel about a siren who is implicated in a murder, which doesn't exactly fit this book. I would like to see maybe the ruins that Tempe explores or something along those lines.
