As soon as I heard John Hart was releasing a new novel, I knew it was going to be good. Why? Because all of his books are amazing. He is the type of author that can continuously craft stories that keep the reader on edge and the pages turning. The Unwilling is no exception.

Set in the midst of the Vietnam era, The Unwilling starts when former vet, Jason French, is released from prison. While out for a day of fun with his teenage brother and two young women, one event happens that sets the story in motion. The story is fast-paced and full of twists and turns. I could not wait until the end to see how everything would be tied up. It did not disappoint.

While I loved the story itself, some of the characters, in particular X, were not very believable. You know what, I really do not care. Suspend disbelief and get lost in this book. This is a must read that will keep you up all night.
