This book seems to showcase a certain family dynamic, dealing with several issues. The father is a detective, one son went to war and was killed, another son also went to war and survived but then had issues with drugs leading to him going to jail, and the final son has all of that as a burden. It seems that his mother has become overprotective out of fear of the youngest son ending up like his brothers. I’m interested to see how the son out of jail is copping and what choices the youngest son will make.
