Harriet Tubman's life through the eyes of historical fiction. This iconic activity is seen in a continued light of bravery. The opening of the book is a little deceiving for what is to come. It starts with Harriet and her love John Tubman trying to work out how to make their relationship work. He being a free black man and she being a slave. However, I think there is much more depth and action to come in regards to Harriet's actions that brought slaves to power. Civil War is part character part background of this story. The description of this fiction piece reads more like part history book part biography of this great lady. Excited to see how it unfolds and the continued unfolding of whom Harriet Tubman really is.
