My first impression of this book came from the cover. It's bold and strong. You can tell just from the cover that this book is a powerful read.
Author Elizabeth Cobbs has a powerful writing style that keeps you engaged.
She has a way with words that draws you in and keeps you there.
Based on this book alone, I'd definitely be interested in reading more books by her.
If you can't tell from the title of the book, this book is all about the inspiring Harriet Tubman. What makes this book different is that it's not about Harriet's well-known & frequently written about role in the Underground Railroad. This novel is about her time as a spy and scout for the Union Army during the Civil War. This book was unique, informative, & educational.
