So this story jumps right Into Harriet Tubman's life around 1863, after the Underground Railroad and when she's helping the Army try and liberate slaves from a plantation and to recruite them as soldier.
Known as "Moses" it tells about her interactions with the Generals and leaders of the Union Army. It is interesting to read about how most of them did respect her, even with her race and gender.
I wish they wouldn't have added a love interest, but it is fiction. I do love that this was a side of her I never knew, and don't remember reading or learning about in school. I am going to go read more about her. The research the author did was fantastic and well done. The amount of work was impeccable, besides the love story!
