When I saw this book, I immediately wanted to read this. There is not enough books about women during the Civil War. Harriet Tubman is one of those courageous women who had a part in the war that made such a great difference. She is such an inspiration to read and learn about. It was a beautifully written story about on of her greatest raids on plantations in the South and her life during this part of history. It was interesting to know how she did this with no support from the Union and with a small group of men. It was something I didn't learn about before in school and it was great to read! I also enjoyed the quotes at the beginning of each chapter. It added an in depth understanding of that time period. The cover is also and it drew me in. I would recommend this to anyone who likes to read about the Civil War and who likes strong women point of views.
