Harriet Tubman was a true hero. She had that fighting spirit and attitude it took to get things done. Her strong ability to fight along side of these men showed her true spirit to help fight and free the slaves. This story seemed so real to me that I wanted to stand up and yell, "way to go Harriet!" I loved the way she took action and weaved those men into fighting solders. Even though she had a bounty on her head, she did not let that stop her. She was willing to take the chance, no matter what. I loved that! That she had that-much-bravery, and was willing to even die if need be. Mosses had her team of black scouts and she was ready to go through with her plan. Elizabeth Cobbs made THE TUBMAN COMMAND an outstanding novel. And, outstanding characters to go along with it! I highly recommend this book. Wonderfully written. I loved it!
