I love historical fiction and this book sounds like a 5 star book. School never taught enough about courageous and strong women. For her, she knew giving up the man she loved for people of color who were still slaves, was the right thing for her to do. Not sure I like the cover. If I were to see this on a table in a bookstore, not sure if I would pick it up and read what it is about.
