I really liked the opening, how before we see her in legendary action, we’re getting insight into her own personal story, seeing how bold and brave she was right from the get-go to leave without her husband. The writing is strong so far, too, nice and descriptive in the kitchen scenes. I like the cover, there’s a certain simplicity to it even though there’s a fair bit going on with an image inside of an image.
