This was so amazing! The author had me transported into the story within just a few paragraphs! This is truly great, transporting writing. Not many authors can accomplish this let alone so fast. Harriet Tubman is a hero we all learned about as children but this book brings you into her story and let's you experience what her life may have been like. Not just her experiences- struggles and triumphs, but her thoughts and feelings. And THAT is why I love Historical Fiction. It's like a time machine! Also- the cover is beautiful and eye-catching. So this is a beautiful book inside and out.
