I must admit that neither historical fiction or historical Nonfiction are at the top of my “ to read” list but lately I have been surprising myself by reading out of my element. I read
“ The Orphan Train” and” A piece of this World” by Christina Baker Kline and loved them, whereas my favorite genre to read is thrillers and I keep hitting one dud right after the other.

Harriet Tubman is one of my idols, both for feminism and just overall power and strength of what one human being is capable of if you really put your mind to it. I’m all for the empowerment of women and would love to dive into her background!
