A good book draws you in from the first page and that’s what Tubman Command did to me. I was immediately back in 1863 and part of Harriet’s life. She was a woman in charge and we quickly respect her opinions. We find out a little about her life growing up on a slave plantation and her short marriage to a free but weak man. I definitely need to read this book and find out what happens next to this determined character.
