I am so excited that this book is coming out. Harriet Tubman has been a hero of mine since I was a little girl and first learned of the Underground Railroad. This sneak peak portrays her as the fierce, brave, and independent woman history has shown her to be. I was moved by the glimpses into her past, her marriage, the heartbreak of giving up her child, and her standing among the other slaves. The descriptions, from the scenery to the food and the language, were so well written. I predict this is going to be one of the best historical fiction books of 2019.
