This book was very very dark at times. It definitely has some major triggers so be warned. I loved how freaking spooky this story was. It really felt like a strong horror book. What made it so scary and creepy for me, was the fact that this world can relate to this in so many ways. For the fact that it was a really detailed about the school shooting, the paranormal aspects of this was fantastic. Also the fact that the main character is gay, and black. Walking with him through the struggles of dealing with that while being attacked and haunting by a serial killer, who had some major things happen to him as well. Just made for a very interesting story line. I still would recommend this book for a couple reasons. 1. Its a great book 2. Good story line 3. Teachs some lessons in this book I think we can all learn. The only things I would change would a little more structured jumping back and forth between character and timelines made it a little confusing. Also maybe I would like for it to be a little lighter because this is a dark story.
