I loved this book SO much! The book was well-written and the story was told beautifully. I love an awesome villain, so Sawyer was my favorite character. I actually really connected with him. The story was dark and exciting, and I didn’t want to put the book down even when I knew I needed to. It hooked me from the very beginning, leaving me desperate for more. Jake is a very likable character, but for me, the best part was Sawyer. I loved his scenes and getting in his head. He’s such an interesting, tragic character. I think this book does a great job showing what can turn someone into a killer. It also shows how African Americans are treated in our schools, and how difficult it can be, especially when you’re gay. I laughed and I cried, and I want more from this author. I really think this book is amazing and think everyone who loves horror/paranormal YA books will absolutely love it.
