OK whoa, I'm overwhelmed just by the synopsis. Jake is not only a teenager dealing with all the angsty crap that comes along with that period of life BUT he's also a medium, the only black kid in a white school, AND gay. This is a lot and maybe too much but I'd be curious to see if it can be told in a way that doesn't feel so forced.
