First off, I really really wanted to love this book. I thought that this would be a crazy, wild and imaginative novel. Well... it is definitely crazy, wild and imaginative, but not in the way that I had hoped. I have struggled with trying to read this book for weeks and I have no idea what is going on. I can't tell if it's all a strange drug hallucination or if Sebastian is on an epic hero journey. Some of the crazy one liners are funny and the chapter titles are hilarious. Unfortunately the occasional humor is not enough to keep my interest. This book may be more readily enjoyed by a younger much more kitschy crowd. It is with great regret that I will be putting this book away without finishing it.
