Lost me on page 5, a new record!

I gave it the old college try, but this story nearly lost me on the first page, and secured my disinterest by the fifth. I'm just not interested in the crass characters, and I think that they are going to alienate a lot of readers right off the bat.

The cover is neat and not indicative of the contents of this story, that's for sure.
